Aisha Jamila Hinch is an American actress who is best famous for her performances in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has proven her acting versatility by making outstanding appearances on TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her character on Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first one to attract her the attention of viewers. Her performance in the biographical movie All the Way as the feminist advocate Fannie Lou Hammer attracted her into the limelight of the world at large. Hind received praise by critics for her portrayal as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's period dramatic series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for a 3rd season. Hind has recently completed production on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters and will premiere in the second half of 2019. She was born in Mangalore, in India. The father Krishnaraj was an Army scientist. He passed away on March 18, 2017. Mother Vrinda is a homemaker. Aditya is her older brother and a merchant naval engineer. Her older brother, Aditya Rai was a co-producer and wrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school where Bachchan attended following her family's move to Mumbai. Jai Hind College in Mumbai was where she finished the intermediate portion of her schooling in one year, before enrolling into D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she scored 90 percent in her H.S.C. exams. In her adolescence, she was in studying classical dance and music for five long years. Her favourite subject was zoology. Bachchan took a course in architecture after she took home the title Miss World 1994. Her rise to modeling's elite by winning the title. It was lucrative for her to be employed by PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine, as well as a spokesmodel contract with L'Oreal Paris in 2003. The actress's career was off well with her highly praised performances as a lead in Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Bachchan was thrust to the front of New Bollywood after both films disrupted the established structure of Bollywood films of the time. Her heartbreaking portrayal of Paro, the lover who was duped by her during Devdas (2002) which was one of the best-known Bollywood films at the time and first shown at Cannes Film Festival cemented her as the queen of Bollywood. Following that she received high praise for her role the character Chokher Bali (2003) an intense drama which was inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's classic novel. Also in 2003, she became the first Indian actress to be a member of the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan appeared as a character in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance version to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan was able to bring her charisma and beauty to her debut major English film. The actress returned to Bollywood for the hit Dhoom: 2 (2006) before releasing Provoked The Story of Provoked True Story (2006) in English. In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star as well as the son of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage which brought together two of India's most powerful personalities.
