Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural at athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her speedy abilities while she was at Los Angeles Baptist High School. The school placed second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after her first trial. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. As of 2005, she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was an avid competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently among the top three in the events.
