Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed an early talent to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the at the time. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her competitions.
