Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix discovered early that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and became a part of Adidas to become a professional athlete. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
